Employees and residents with Avamere at South Hill, an assisted living community in Spokane, Washington, visited Fire Station #81 on Friday, June 24 to bring all three shifts a special gift for always being available at a moment’s notice, including their resilient service during COVID-19.

During the pandemic, visits were limited to essential employees. Earlier this year, residents surprised their mail carrier Koby Best with a new satchel and treats as a thank-you for his service.

Our assisted living team and residents showed the same gratitude for local firefighters. Many Avamere at South Hill residents know the firefighters on a first-name basis. This gift is their way of saying thank you for a job well done.

Residents even got a tour of the station! Watch the video below to see the excitement.
